Falken 飛勁 日本製 FK520

由差評變好評, 見証住Falken 輪胎的改變. 當年的 FK453 就算係高性能輪胎的確係麻麻. 總會聽到唔少人話: 

"飛勁? 我聽出面啲人話差差地嫁喎." 
 "我自己試過啦, 不了"

直到FK510 既出現, 終於將輪胎既性能帶上一個層次. 先唔講係其他地區吹到呢款呔有幾勁. (講到真係好誇張, 又話可以拍得住 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 ), 裝過FK510 既車主, 大部分既人都揀再裝番. 當然有一批都係揀番大牌子. 係日本製輪胎當中, 價錢, 性能都吸引左唔少車主試. 特別係價錢上完勝同一間廠製造既 日本製  Dunlop Sport Maxx 050+ . 除非Sport Maxx 050+ 做大特價 (曾經以半折出售), 當年都好易係呢兩者作出選擇.


細尺寸既款式 ZE310 都採用左 FK510 既花紋, 可以睇得出飛勁做出黎既進步.
本身都好想試下FK510 既我, 個陣最後裝左 Dunlop Sport Maxx 050+. (做緊特價, 冇理由唔試麻..)





直到兩年前, 全新款FK520 推出, 續一取代FK510. 全新花紋令行車嘈音降底. (按理上咬地性能都應該有增加, 不過有人話好似冇乜分別.) 而我, 終於都裝左 4條 FK520 落部車到.

1) 舒適: 中至高等. 始終係高性能輪胎. 但係絕對係唔差.
2) 聲音: 中等偏靜. 但對於平時播歌既我, 就算用手機開youtube 都聽得清. (我部sony android 開speaker 唔係太大聲的)
3) 濕地: 100km/h 上天橋轉彎中間個塊鐵皮都好隱陣. 
4) 耐用度: 同FK510 一樣算係正常損耗速度.

雖說呢款呔係非常岩我, 但非所有人都一定岩用. e.g. 有個客反映 Yokohama V701 既濕地性能始終都係較優勝. 
(**V701 係單向紋, 單向紋濕地一向係最出色

部分尺寸未有提供FK520, 只有FK510 仲繼續銷售. FK520 比FK510 貴左大約 $50 - $100/條. 而有部分尺寸既FK520 貴過 Dunlop Sport Maxx 060+. 對於兩者都出自於同一間廠, 自己好難唔去成日比較呢兩款既價錢. 從而變得 Sport Maxx 060+ 有機會較岩價錢既心水.


港車北上絕對係其一必備輪胎. 點解走長途要用好啲既呔? 因為走高速少不免一定過 120km/h. 所需同香港大有分別. 因為想慳錢, 求其裝不知名既牌子的話... 其實會唔會係香港裝番更出名既 賽輪 中國製會更好?

From negative to positive feedback. Experiencing how Falken tyres change its performance from its old model high performance tyre FK453, to the latest model FK510, and FK520. Back in the past, there are still some saying :
"Falken? I heard its performance is bad"
"I tried it before. Nah"

The release of FK510 finally gives a good impression to the drivers. Neglect how it was exaggerated about its performance in other markets (some said that its performance is on par with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on other markets), those who installed FK510 chose to keep using it for the next replacement. 

Still, there are some preferred back a higher top brands. Under the category of Made in Japan, its pricing and performance attracts quite a lot of drivers to try out. Especially the pricing won over its counterparts Dunlop Sport Maxx 050+ in which it was manufactured at the same factory. Unless Sport Maxx 050+ had a great promotion (there was a time it was sold half the original price), it's easy to choose between the two.


Even ZE310 (which only offers smaller size) copied FK510 tread pattern. It can be referenced how big a improvement has made for Falken.

Although FK510 received numerous great feedback, I chose Dunlop Sport Maxx 050+. (with promotion at that time.)





Two years ago, a new model FK520 released to replace FK510. New tread pattern reduces noise level. A few comments on its quietness but performance seems to be the same. It's finally my turn to try out Falken tyre.

1) Comfort: Mid to high level. It's high performance tyre afterall. 
2) Noise: Considered quiet. I still can hear my android phone play youtube with speaker on (sony android phone speaker volume is not that high level)
3) Wet performance: No problem with 100km/h crossing the bridge metal connection.
4) Durability: No difference with FK510 

It may suit my requirement does not mean it suit everyone's. A customer comments that Yokohama V701 wet performance is still better than FK520.
(**V701 is directional tread pattern. Directional pattern has good wet performance compared to others.

Some sizes do not have FK520 available. FK520 is more expensive than FK510 by around $50 - $100/tyre. With some sizes more expensive than Dunlop Sport Maxx 060+. It's hard for me not to compare these two. Afterall they comes from the same manufacturer. 

In conclusion, Falken FK520 is one of the must installed tyres for North Bound Travel. It might be unavoidable to travel over 120km/h for highway. North Bound travel needs a higher requirement for tyres. Even if you want to get your expenses lower by installing an unknown brand, will it be better to install the China brand Sailun (top 10 tyre brands in value) in Hong Kong

部車有酸臭味, 會唔會係電池問題? The vehicle got a foul smell, could it be the battery issue?

有冇見過電池會脹起? 有冇曾經企係電池隔離聞過有種強烈既異味? 有冇聽過電池(唔係鋰電)會爆炸? 



好難得先俾我影到電池有問題時既情況. 就算電池脹起都好難就咁用相睇得出. 唔知大家係影片到睇唔睇到白煙一直由電池氣孔到發出...


咁多年內, 見過電池脹起次數都不算特別多. 當中包括歐洲車款原配電池. 但脹起唔代表會有異味. 有異味都唔代表住電池會脹起. 
異味聞起黎似 ammonia (唔知中文係咩. 當年中學化學做實驗時要聞, 因為聞唔到, 所以我成個頭放係正個test tube 上一聞就 💀. 太深刻 )

🔍上圖既出現絕對唔關電池品質問題. 白煙出現係因為電池水"水滾". 如果有人話您知係電池品牌問題, 我係到話您知, 有部 "L" 字既新車原裝跟車AGM電池發生同樣問題. "水滾"原因唔多講. 可以係短暫性但(對電池)有致命性. 呢個情況下, 先更換電池後再檢查下部車有冇咩特別問題. 唔check 車的話, 一年內粒電池又再死多次可証實部車有啲問題.

👀 曾經有提過私家車如果有排氣管係車身最好都係裝落粒電池到. 如果唔岩裝的話可以3D 打印整番個轉換器裝入去 (排氣管會疏通番啲氣出車外). 通常汽車配有排氣管係為左避免氣體累積係車入面. 累積一定濃度+某條件係會爆炸. (因為 hydrogen) 💥 但應該唔會出現. 因為您一定會頂唔順個味. 如果有人話您知, 排氣管冇用, 咁係因為未用得著. 

❓混能(hybrid)及電動車會唔會發生呢樣野? 我99%肯定話您知唔會. 呢兩款既"火牛" 實在太耐用. 直到目前為止 (e.g. Prius 10幾年車) 都未發生過任何問題. 仲有1%係因為我未夠足夠數據....

如果有日, 突然聞到部車有啲唔正常既氣味, 不妨都睇埋會唔會係粒電池問題.

Ever seen an automotive battery casing defected? Ever smell something awful when stand near a battery? Ever heard of a non lithium battery could explode?

it's rare for me able to take a video of battery issue while the car is running. It's hard to look a defected casing battery in an image. Not sure if you can manage to see white smoke coming out from the battery in the video.



Over the years it's not common to see battery casing defect which include an original equipped battery from a Europe manufactured vehicle. A defect of the battery casing might not produce awful smell, vice versa. 
The awful smell like ammonia, in which I had experienced by placing my nose on top of the test tube for an experiment during my secondary school chem lab. It was too shocking💀


🔍 The above cause is NOT related to battery quality. The white smoke coming out from the battery is due to the boiling of the acid. If someone were to tell you that it must be the low quality of some not famous battery brands, I can tell you that the original equipped AGM battery from a "L" (new) vehicle got this issue as well. The cause can vary. It can be short-lived but deadly (to the battery). In this case, battery replacement is the first priority and vehicle inspection is required afterwards. Otherwise, you could wait for a year. If battery dies again, it implies there is a problem with your vehicle. 

👀 It was mentioned previously that if you vehicle has a tube near the battery location, it is recommended to connect to the battery hole at the side. If it cannot be connected, you can 3d print the converter to connect it (for transferring the gas outside of the vehicle). Vehicles normally contain this tube to avoid accumulating the gas inside the vehicle. If such gas was accumulated to a certain concentration + a certain condition, your car will explode. (mainly due to hydrogen accumulation)💥 But it shouldn't be happened because the smell is too strong for you to keep driving. 

❓ Will hybrid and EV experience such issue? I can highly certain that the transformer of these vehicles are very durable. Up until now, (e.g. Prius 10 something years vehicle) had never experience any issues. The only thing that is lacking is the data to support it.

If you happen to smell something foul one day, check out your battery to see if there is any problem with it.

With other unknown EV tyres might be available, there should be over 10 EV models to choose. Some Tesla owners was shocked to hear Michelin price around $3000/tyre and immediately leave.

Some still prefer normal tyres other than EV tyres beacuse of the price difference. A normal Kumo PS91 $1350/tyre vs HP71 EV , a $200 difference. If EV tyres price can bring down to even lower price..... Kenda tyre latest model KR616 EV

When Kenda first entered Hong Kong market, its high performance tyre KR400 is one of the first choice for light goods vehicles, Toyota estima, alphard etc. Most owners keep using it after first use as its tread wear ratio is very high, and its traction meets their requirements.


In the Europe market, KR210 was awarded TCS : recommended, and ADAC : satisfactory.
Although Kenda does not sold this model in HK, it can be referred its performance for other models cannot be underestimated.

扣稅年金, 扣稅自願強積金, 到底需唔需要? 邊個先岩自己? Qualifying Deferred Annuity Policy vs Tax Deductible MPF Voluntary Contributions, do I need it? which one is preferable?

每年既年尾到3月31日, 不論係社交媒體, 討論區等, 只要您上網睇野都會好大機會見到網上廣告關於扣稅, 比較多既係扣稅年金 ("QDAP").

用6萬 去慳到最高稅額 $10,200 既 扣稅年金 / 可扣稅自願性MPF供款, 只係當您既計算稅額去到至少 $260,000 (現時 $50,000 @ 2%, 6%, 10%, 14%, 17% 累進税率計算.  因應政府推出的稅務計劃而變更).

👂 有冇需要買?

如果您認為而家呢刻存起 $49,800 俾您將來用就可以賺多, 唔係交出 $10,200 的話, 仲駛諗既?

但係, 如果您係公司持有人 (不論係無限公司定係有限公司), 都可以利用呢個方法慳到稅 (如果作為持有人既您仲未買的話).

Every year ends to the next year 31st Mar, whether it's social media, forum, as long as you access to the Internet, you will surely get an advertisement about tax deduction, mostly focusing on Qualifying Deferred Annuity Policy. (aka "QDAP").

With all the focus on saving up to $10,200 tax for spending maximum $60,000 (actual spending $49,800) on QDAP/ Tax Deductible voluntary MPF, it is attractive enough for a "long period of time deposit saving". That's only if your net chargeable income is at least $260,000 (for the current $50,000 @ 2%, 6%, 10%, 14%, 17% progressive tax rate. Of course the amount will change subject to government tax plan).

👂 Do you need it?

That's if you believe this $10,200 is good enough for you to spend extra $49,800 for your saving in the future

As a business owner (unlimited company or limited company), this plan is SURELY one of your consideration to reduce your tax (if you have not bought it). Think about it,
-> if you hold a limited company, your two tier tax rate normally exceed to 16.5% for calculation. That's a maximum of $9,900 tax payment that you can save (or I could say, earn it). Even if it does not go beyond 16.5%, you can still save a maximum of $4950 tax payment.

-> if you are unlimited company owners, you normally won't go for the two tiers, but still possible reaching the 17% tax tier. 

(You are not aware of your company statement? I doubt your accountant will tell you about it. )

Yet, many owners keep finding ways to "increase" your statement expenses in order to reduce tax payment. But none has ever thought of, Touch wood, as a victim that needs to file claim against the other party for medical expenses and income revenue, will your tax income report becomes one of the salient consideration ?

過得黎鋪頭, 所有客都一定已經有晒車牌啦. 仲駛乜再考慮要學車呢? 您唔駛, 可能您身邊既人要呢? 而家啲車越黎越平, 唔排除第時10萬內都有既全新0手車先諗不如考番個車牌就太遲吧? 就算唔係香港渣, 都會有諗住係去旅行渣. 去日本沖繩, 成班人, 渣車好過坐車吧? 

🚗買部二手車P牌練車, 2萬左右冇穿冇爛其實都有交易.
電動車既出現, 而家10幾萬都有部全新車. 

🚘維修費貴? 如果自己識得保養好, 電池又用耐啲, 呔又可以用耐啲. 但您買部 Tesla 要預左換呔一定貴.

雖然我當年一take pass 個陣都係考街搵李建, 不過聽講而家啲考車費越黎越貴. 唔少都自己出去搵.



最近就有個朋友係香港考左第一次fail左之後, 覺得個標準太不一, 決定去番大陸考. (佢仲考緊)

價錢: (筆試加路試上堂所有加埋) 大約 RMB5000幾
筆試: 未考之前, 需要做兩次100題既題目 (需要係指定時間內完成及答岩90條). 當中包括路線, 指示牌, 交警手勢指示等... (冇notes, 要自己上網溫). 筆試考兩次.
路試: 未落實報之前都需要"學習指定時數". 正式考時當日有5次機會可以重考. (考1次泊位, 1次路試. 好似話泊位要係指定時間內完成兩次唔同既泊位方式.)

按道理上, 內地所考既車牌比香港除左較考得多野之外, 仲需要更多時間去學習. 對比係香港, 係學習路面時, 其實學得比較更多野. 考到牌後隔左段時間可以申請香港駕駛牌照. 

如果掙扎緊, 到底係香港考定係內地考, 應該點都先試下係香港考. (考完再上內地補下鐘). (個人認為) 您係香港咁細既地方都渣得掂, 就算港車北上 或申請國際牌去第二度渣都一定難唔到您. 係香港考左後覺得被人tick錯, 改去內地考都應該難唔到您.
