呔氣指標蓋 Tire Pressure Indicator

之前有睇過有個蓋cap 住係條呔既喉咀到. 好似下面呢個咁

綠色: 代表呔夠氣

紅色: 代表呔唔夠氣, 要打氣

睇落好似簡單又易用, 一開始都而為佢仲勁過而家個的用手機睇呔條既儀器, 但發現其實唔係.

問左個賣家, 佢話, 入面其實set 死個呔氣指標. (不過冇問到set 左幾大指標) e.g. 廠set 左係36 psi 既呔氣, 但係你平時打氣係32psi 既話, 你用左佢既話, 就永遠都係出紅色, 而舊野係自己冇得改. 

如果你打算買既話, 或者己經買左既話,  就要問下佢地係set 左咩指標先好買啦, 或者黎我地到, 我幫你睇個舊野係set 左幾多psi.

Below tire cap, I believe, is not uncommon to every driver. It's used to track tire pressure.

Green: indicates sufficient tire pressure

Red: indicates insufficient tire pressure, you need to pump more air

It looks simple and easy to use, and sort of better than those other devices that used smartphone to monitor the air pressure. But it turns out it's not really the case. The seller told me that, the pressure indicator is fixed at the cap (though I didn't ask what's the pressure set). Let's say if it's set at 36 psi, and you normally pump air to 32 psi, it will always show red light. You cannot change it, nor the seller.

If you are planning to purchase, or you already had it, you may want to check out the pressure fixed at the cap. (you are welcome to come to my store and I can find it out for you too :D )

粉嶺高速公路既朋友要小心駕駛 Becareful when driving along Fanling Highway

好誇張, 連續有兩位朋友係粉嶺高速公路, 起緊天橋既附近既路段爆呔, 先分享下第一個既爆呔相

第一張睇落去好似冇乜野, 好似只係普通中釘, 但係一折開, 就見到成支叉插入去咁, 救唔番. 諗住以為只係中釘爆呔, 點知搞到咁

第二位朋友, 仲可怕. 佢形容一開始聽到車底 "bon" 一聲, 以為車底撞到野, 點知係條呔爆左. 拖車黎到, 折黎一睇, 呔鈴都穿埋, 都唔知俾的咩搞到咁

所以, 經過粉嶺高速都係小心留意下路面

Unbelievable. It's probably the only words that I can think of, when two customers (not on the same day) came with their tyres unable to patch. If you are driving along the Fanling Highway, please be extra careful. 

The first looks like some sharp metal object puncture. 

When we took out the tyre, the object was so sharp that it puncture like a fork towards the rim. Unable to patch.

The other customer described his experience, when he drove along the Fanling highway, he heard a "bomb" sound under the car. He thought something big hit the car but it turns out it's his tyre that went out of air. When he came to our store and took out the tyre, then he saw there is a big hole at the rim. What the? What kind of things could pierce through the rim?

Well, just be extra careful when you are driving at the fanling highway. 

私家車呔 vs 輕型貨車呔

最近掛住寫code, 終於係個月前寫好左一個簡單既online shopping.

因為仲未有太多既資料, 所以你有可能搵唔到你既車呔size. 如果真係搵唔到既話, 打黎搵我地叫我地報下價.

And, 除左私家車, 都有輕型貨車架, 所以你地可以禁入去望一望睇下車呔係咪for 私家車定係 for 輕型貨車. (呢個係我做得唔係咁好, 會遲少少改進番, 等大家易的去睇)

在係呢到講多的有關兩者之分

因為有的車呔既size , e.g. 205/65 R16, 可以係私家車呔, 都可以係輕型貨車呔

(如圖下,  第一個牌子HiFly 係for 輕型貨車, 第二個牌子Falken 係for 私家車呔)

所以有時的呔鋪問番轉頭話, 係輕型貨車定係私家車, 唔想報錯價.

要知個條呔係私家車定輕型貨車, 係我地個網禁個張相, 或 "詳細" 就可以見到車呔規格既左下角係私家車, 定輕型貨車.

其實咁平時上網搵, 仲有另一樣可以好快知, 就係睇條呔既 show 出黎既size.

部分輕型貨車呔size 會有: C (或其他字母, 通常都係C), 係Rim size 後面, 如上圖HiFly 就有

205/65 R16C , 

另外就係睇車呔size 既 loading index. 輕型貨車呔既loading 會有兩個指標 -> 107/105T

107 代表當一條呔放係左, 另一條放係右, 既重量等級, 105代表當兩條呔放係同一左, 或同一右既重量等級.

法律最底要求的呔紋深度, 用硬幣check 下自己條呔

可能大家都知道呢樣野, 或者都唔會理會呢樣野, 因為知道條呔一唔對路, 其實可能要換.
今次小弟都長氣講下.

平時我地都會睇既 "運輸署" 既網頁睇到, 最底既呔紋深度既要求係 1毫米(mm)
驗車既話, 都可以肯定條呔冇1mm 深都一定過唔到. (下次我又分享下平時都會有客為左驗車, 都唔會買新呔, 因為都打算賣車)


點先知道條呔合唔合法律要求? 唔駛用間尺既, 用硬幣就得啦.
只要你身上有硬幣, 就可以用下面呢個方法去量下. 任何硬幣都得的. 下面圖就用左個 $5 放上去條呔到.

如果你量到既高度, 係底過個5蚊既 "D" 字底 (或者係其他英文字母都係一樣), 咁你部車條車呔就唔合法律要求, 要盡快換了.

上面係用左5蚊, 其他如1蚊, 2蚊, 1毫, 2毫都可以量到的. 相同既方法. 都係底於個字母就係唔合法.

如果真係俾人捉到咁點算? 有的應該都係放你走叫你快的換. 會唔會俾人罰錢就暫時未見到. 如果見到都會同大家分享下.

不過小弟都識的法律, 見過發生過既案件, 一黎就連埋呢的一齊罰, 咁就睇落去好似會罰得甘的.

得我再研究多的, 再分享俾大家知.

You may know this or may ignore it as the moment you feel there is something not right about the tyre, you may want to check and change it.

Yet, I apologize for being "long-winded" and still wanted to share this.

The transport department website mentioned that, the legal limit for your tyre tread depth is 1mm.

If you are bringing your car for a test with a tyre tread that's less than 1mm depth, it's self-evident that it will not pass. (Next time I will share with you all some may want to change some old tyre just to pass the test because they are planning to sell the car)

So, how do you know if your tyre meets the legal requirement? You don't have to use a ruler, just use a coin.

If you have a coin with you, you can use the following to measure your tyre depth. Any coin will do, to put in between the tyre tead.

如果你量到既高度, 係底過個5蚊既 "D" 字底 (或者係其他英文字母都係一樣), 咁你部車條車呔就唔合法律要求, 要盡快換了.

We use a 5 dollar coin as an example above. You can also use 1 dollar, 2 dollar, 10 cent, 20 cent. using the same method. Tyre tread depth is below the letter indicates it's below the legal requirement.

If you get caught by government official, what will happen? Sometimes, they will ask you to change the tyre quickly. Whether you will be fined or not, I still have not checked out any cases yet. (Possibly not the one that you need to go to court)

Just a little knowledge in law, I came across cases where incidents occur will include the above charge of not passing the legal limit, thus making a fine heavier (looks like it)

If I manage to know more about it, I will definitely share it with you all.

換呔既你, 唧車要小心

上個月發生左次意外, 令到初入行既我都覺得可怕. 做呢行真係要好小心. 就算係車主 / 司機 / 係幫人地換呔既你都要小心.

上個月既頭條新聞, (下面條link), 就講到因為個車唧移位, 俾架車夾住左車底.

睇完之後, 即時心諗WTF, 好可怕.

通常私家車用開既類似呢隻, 唧起車門個邊位, 就算移位趺落黎都唔會整到自己. 但係who knows 可能需要落車底執番個呔芯? 或者係個screw? 

唧車都係小心的好.

There was an accident last month that triggered my fear to work in the tyre industry. Even if it's not in the tyre industry, whether you are a driver / car owner / other person that is helping someone (maybe a pretty girl? ) to change the tyre , really got to be careful.

A news article in the stheadline mentioned that a person passed away due to the improper use of car jack, which incidentally causing the car to drop and he was hit at the underneath of the car

Normally using the above car jack should be safe enough even if the car drops in mid way since it's placed at the car door there. But who knows? you may need to get down to the car underneath to get the screw or some other things that require you to put the spare tyre?

Well, afterall, just to be extra careful in changing your car tyre

車呔"生"仔

唔知點解每次特別既事都係幫人補呔發生.

今次有位司機黎補呔時, 充氣發現條呔生"仔"

其實係條呔冇氣既時候係好難見到的. 紅色圈為"有左" 既部位.

做下手術拉開佢, 其實會見到條呔入面的鐵線呀等. 其實就咁睇都好難知佢有左. 

有的咩方法真係知道佢生仔? 充氣時會見到佢突左出黎. 如果你係油站打緊氣, 或者係其他地方打氣見到就唔好繼續打氣啦. 因為再打就會爆. 就會出現我係第一個文章到所發生既野啦.

I don't know why lots of special cases happen in helping the customers patching the tyre.

This time, a driver come and ask for a tyre patch, and we discovered that it was "pregnant" when we are pumping air to it

  

Let's do an operation and have a look on the inside. You may see the some wires in the tyre. Actually it's difficult to see if it's actually "pregnant"

So are there any ways to find out? Try pumping air into the tyre and that part will grow like a ball.

If you happen to be pumping air into your car tyre, just to be extra careful about your tyre may actually be pregnant. Further air pumping to the tyre may result in explosion which I had shown to you guys in the first article.

經過呔鋪唔好行近打緊氣既呔

今次係小弟第一次開post, share 俾大家的趣事, 如果你都想知其他更多既野, 或者想分享下, 不妨大家交流.

今次, 想同大家講, 第時經過呔鋪, 真係唔好行咁近個的充緊氣既呔.

我第一次開始做, 試過一次中型貨車既呔打緊氣時突然爆左. 成條呔裂開晒. (最後研究過應該係條呔太耐老化)

個次第一次經驗, 真係反應唔到. (應該第一時間影相 ^^''')

估唔到有第一次, 就有第二次, 不過就唔係發生係我身上. 睇番CCTV (圖一), 你會見到有白煙噴出. 其實係充氣時條呔突然爆. 一聲巨響成條街都聽到. 個下沖力都好驚人, 行得太近會受傷.

最後見到條呔係有個hole. 一個細hole 爆發力都好驚人.

其實細呔都有機會發生, 所以, 經過呔鋪 或者補呔既, 都唔好咁近. 安全要緊.

Whether you are passing by a tyre store, or patronize the store for a tyre patch, just don't go right in front of the tyre when the air is pumping in. In case if the tyre is too old / worn out that it may explode just like what you see in the first picture
